man, i had forgotten about this cover! as much as i love the Kubert-style, i think my favorite part is the logo--its so old-school, clasic looking, like a design magazine from the 1950s.

was this the only time it was used?

Yeah. The next issue was back to the previous logo, which stuck around until #35 or so.

Anyway, as I was trying to say before my original comment went freaky on me: I found this issue in a hospital gift store when I was a kid. At the time, comics (especially Flash comics) were really hard to find as I was living in a very small town. The series was at #43 or something at that point, so this was a "back issue" and a bit of a treasure find for me.

I loved this cover also. When I read the fan letters in later issues, the biggest complaint was about the logo used on the front (!), which I thought fit perfectly with the cover.
